CoverMCP Phonics C

Second graders using Modern Curriculum Press Phonics C will begin their year with a brief review of the basic phonetic concepts found in levels A and B.  The focus turns toward multi-syllable words, compound words, and lengthier sentences.   Level C will cover in greater detail, suffixes, prefixes, and plurals.  Further instruction and practice is given with vowel pairs, digraphs, and diphthongs; synonyms, antonyms, and homonyms.  Students continue to learn more rules of syllabication, and are introduced to dictionary concepts such as alphabetical order and guide words.

The comprehensive Teacher's Resource guide includes visual, auditory and kinesthetic activities for different types of learners and a complete set of assessment tools.  A list of definitions and rules, a helpful reference tool for reinforcement and clarification, may be found on the inside cover of the student workbook.
