Students focus on the rules of grammar in the first semester, expanding their knowledge of all types of phrases and clauses; nominative and objective case; modifiers; capitalization and punctuation, etc. During the second semester students are given various paragraph writing workshops, then proceed to writing creative, informative, and persuasive essays.
